Benefits of Rosehip Oil

Shuganya

The great thing is that rosehip oil is suitable for all skin types. It’s deeply nourishing and moisturising (hello, dry skin!), but also superfine with balancing properties, making it ideal for those with normal or oily skin. Because pure, cold-pressed and organic rosehip oil has no added preservatives, chemicals or fragrances, it’s also ideal for those with those with sensitive skin.

Rose hip oil is a great anti-aging ingredient, particularly around the dreaded crow’s feet around the eyes. It helps to reduce hyperpigmentation, scars, fine lines and has skin-lightening properties.

When you want to treat irritated, angry, red, zit-riddled skin, you bring in the big guns—i.e. rosehip oil. The innocuous oil deeply hydrates skin (without suffocating your pores) with fatty acids that also fade acne scars and reduce redness. You’ll see firmer, smoother skin with rosehip seed oil as its vitamins A, C and E protect and renew skin. It’s a light oil, but not recommended for acne-prone skin. Collagen is the building block of skin. It’s essential for skin elasticity and firmness. Your body naturally makes less collagen as you age. Rosehip oil is rich in vitamins A and C, which are both necessary for the production of collagen.

Rosehip oil is rich in vitamin A. Vitamin A is made up of several nutritional compounds, including retinoids. Retinoids are known for their ability to reduce hyperpigmentation and other visible signs of aging with regular use. Rosehip oil also contains both lycopene and beta carotene. These ingredients are said to have skin-lightening properties, making them staple ingredients in many skin-lightening products.
